Long Live The Library is a program that allows Hillsborough Elementary School families to donate books to the school library in the name of their children. The program helps to build our school library and gives children the special gift of a book donated in their name while encouraging a life-long love of reading.
For each donation, the librarian obtains a grade-level book to add to the school collection. It may be a new book title or a replacement of a popular one. A donation label with the child’s name and special message is placed inside the front cover. That child is given the opportunity to be the first student in the school to check out and read the book before it becomes a part of our HES library. This special gift is a great way to celebrate the start of school, birthdays, holidays, or a “great job in school” for any child! Students love returning to this book over and over again to see their name inside the cover.
To order a book in your child’s name, log onto Community Pass and select Long Live the Library. The cost is $14.00.
Books can be ordered every month until May. Donations can take up to a month to process, so please plan accordingly.
